What works for someone else may not work for you. Know that means nothing about your nervous system's ability to change, evolve and heal.

I believe that being care for, respected, understood and connected to others can have a profound effect on your health. Positive relationships are healing relationships. That's why I chose to become a mental health coach because I don't believe your path to recovery and resilience should be completely sterile or clinical in nature. Here is what I offer my clients:

Tailored practices to best serve your needs

Practical, actionable ways to address stress

Strategies to overcome specific challenges

An opportunity to truly be seen and heard

The chance to rest & receive the support you deserve

  • What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
A coach will not make any diagnosis, nor attempt to "treat" you. Instead of asking "what's wrong," coaching asks "what do you need?" Therapy generally helps clients heal, fix, or manage problems from the past whereas coaching helps clients identify and take action toward future positive change. Sessions are exploratory in nature with a strong focus on growing a set of skills that helps you develop awareness and choice, and an increased capacity to navigate change and emotions.
  • What does coaching with TJ look like?
Coaching with me means you don't have to go through the hard stuff alone. I work with clients virtually and can meet you no matter where you are in the world. Coaching sessions are one on one, just me and you. Together we will build a framework for our sessions that prioritizes your needs while creating a strong sense of safety and stability. Nervous system informed coaching means we will engage in practices using the tools of the body to help create a shift in the mind. All practices are tailor-made just for you and each session is designed to meet you where you're at from week to week.
  • Why should I work with a coach?
Positive relationships are healing relationships. Being cared for, respected, understood, and connected to others can have a profound effect on your health. A good coach uses the interpersonal space to create a culture of healing, which includes: Open communication at all times. A climate of trust. Curiosity and compassion. Collaboration and choice. Opportunities for self-care. A good coach helps you to stretch and grow your understanding by offering you an outside perspective. You gain mental skills and strengths beyond what you would accomplish alone.
  • How do I get started?
Knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming. Change is best implemented in small, thoughtful ways. Let your first step be simple: book a free call and we'll figure it out together 🤗
